Brownwood Community Library Association

I Commit to a library in Brown County!

As a non-profit established in 1904, the Brownwood Library needs our community's support if we are to survive. Please commit to the library if you want our children and grandchildren to have a library in Brown County.
Yes! Brownwood Library Can Count on My Support!

How You Can Help
  • https://www.persecution.com/donate/ Donate to the library in any amount between now and midnight on April 6. Whether you can give $5, $50, or $5,000 – donations of all sizes make a difference and are greatly appreciated.
  • Spread the word about Library Giving Day. Like and share our Library Giving Day posts on Facebook. Add a comment about why libraries are important to you.
  • Share your love of public libraries with your friends and networks using the hashtag #LibraryGivingDay.
Why Give to Brownwood Public Library?
The Carnegie Public Library Association of Brownwood has been a non-profit at the heart of our community for more than a century. We receive support from the City of Brownwood, the City of Early and Brown County. But without the support of our community, we could not offer all of our great services. We invest every donated dollar back into our community through the services and programs at the library.

The Summer Reading Club, storytime, book club, ebooks and more would not be possible without the generosity of dedicated individuals and businesses just like you. Thank you for ensuring a bright future for the Brownwood Library!

Why Support Brownwood Library?
As a non-profit, government funding pays only a portion of the Library's operating expenses. The rest comes from generous foundations, corporations, and individuals like you.

Your contribution helps:
  • Keep our shelves filled with books and materials that are in high demand
  • Provide free computer access and Wi-Fi service
  • Fund children's programs, such as Summer Reading Club, storytime, Crazy 8s math club and more!
  • Boost the local economy (libraries, like Brownwood's, provide a free work space for telecommuters, free internet access for those applying for jobs, and job training)
  • Provide homework help and reference assistance
  • Purchase items to add to our phenomenal local history and genealogy collection
  • ... and much more!

How to Donate:

Donations can be made a number of ways:
  • You can mail a check or come in person to: Brownwood Public Library, 600 Carnegie St., Brownwood, Texas, 76801.
  • You can donate through our website.
  • You can donate through our Facebook page. Just click the "donate" button.
Or, donate to our Endowment Fund! The Endowment Fund, managed by the Community Foundation of Abilene, will ensure the long-term future of the Brownwood Public Library.
Your financial contribution to the library is tax deductible to the extent allowable by law. The Brownwood Public Library is a 501(c)3 organization.
