Brownwood Public Library
Annual Appeal 2019

Picture
Dear Neighbor,

The Brownwood Library was recently awarded a grant from the Lower Colorado River Authority to make some major improvements to the library!
Picture
With this grant, the library will be able to do two things:
1. Convert our children’s book shelving to face-out shelving. Picture books are a visual medium for children who can’t read. We want to display them in a way that our youngest children can browse on their own! Kids have checked out up to 40% more books at other libraries with face-out shelving!
2. Install new energy efficient lights. Giving the library a fresh, clean look and fixing many old and broken light fixtures — this will save the library an estimated $4,624 a year! These additional funds will be a huge asset in allowing the library to provide more popular books, additional library programs, and better service to our community.

But the library needs to contribute 20% of this project and we need your help! For every $1 you donate, $5 will be going towards these improvements!
  • Your gift will improve literacy in Brown County by exciting preschoolers and toddlers about choosing and reading books.
  • Your gift will improve scholastic resources by freeing more funds for educational programs and materials.
  • Your gift will make it easier for the community to use the library with brighter, healthier lighting.

How to Donate:

Donations can be made a number of ways:
